More About OCLA Injury Lawyer - Ryan L. Maughan, Esq.

Ryan Maughan is a passionate advocate for his community. A native of Southern California, he has dedicated his professional career to helping individuals and families in need. Before becoming an attorney, Ryan served as a VISTA (Volunteers in Service America) in the Americorps program where he advocated for children and families in low-income communities. Ryan battled injustices and championed worthy causes including early childhood literacy. Now, as an attorney, he continues the good fight in the courtroom as he represents aggrieved clients seeking justice.

Ryan graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara before earning his law degree at Chapman University Fowler School of Law. Ryan began his trial career while still in law school when he tried and won his first case in federal court as an intern for the Office of the Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service. Prior to opening his own firm, Ryan honed his advocacy skills at a prestigious, national law firm. There, he represented multinational companies and public entities from the onset of a case through trial. Ryan distinguished himself as a thoughtful problem solver unafraid to take on any challenge. Ryan continued to gain trial experience while working for a national insurance company as an in-house trial attorney. From this experience, he gained firsthand knowledge of the tactics insurance companies use and learned how to protect individuals from them.

Now working on behalf of injured parties, Ryan brings his in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry and tireless spirit to each case. Each day, Ryan strives to make his community a better, safer place by standing up for those who have been wronged. His clients appreciate that he is a compassionate listener, a skilled negotiator, and a fearless advocate.
