More About Mosaic Multicultural Foundation
Established in 1993, Mosaic Multicultural Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has initiated innovative projects and unifying events that support and educate at-risk youth, refugees, combat veterans, and communities in need. Mosaic creates community through events involving artists, activists, community builders, healers, and spiritual teachers working in inspired ways to develop cross-cultural alliances, mentoring relationships, and forms of community healing.
WHAT WE DO
Mosaic seeks to inspire awareness through community activities and creative ceremonies that reconnect people to meaningful traditions and the sacred ecology of place, while offering opportunities for personal growth, spiritual awakening, and leadership development. Mosaic publishes and produces the work of renowned storyteller and mythologist Michael Meade through an extensive collection of books, audio, essays and podcasts, as well as producing a full calendar of national and international community events.
PROJECTS
Mosaic’s projects include mentoring youth and awakening the wisdom of elders, finding common ground between those in opposition, shaping community events that unite people of various cultural and spiritual backgrounds, and encouraging greater understanding between people with diverse and divergent backgrounds and experiences. We address contemporary issues by combining traditional ideas and practices with fresh insights to reveal where new cultural forms can be conceived and developed.

MICHAEL MEADE
Michael Meade, D.H.L., is a renowned storyteller, author, and scholar of mythology, anthropology, and psychology. He combines hypnotic storytelling, street-savvy perceptiveness, and spellbinding interpretations of ancient myths with a deep knowledge of cross-cultural rituals. He has an unusual ability to distill and synthesize these disciplines, tapping into ancestral sources of wisdom and connecting them to the stories we are living today.
He is the author of The Genius Myth, Fate and Destiny: The Two Agreements of The Soul, Why the World Doesn't End, The Water of Life: Initiation and the Tempering of the Soul; editor, with James Hillman and Robert Bly, of Rag and Bone Shop of the Heart; and editor of Crossroads: A Quest for Contemporary Rites of Passage. Meade is the founder of Mosaic Multicultural Foundation, a nonprofit network of artist, activists, and community builders that encourages greater understanding between diverse peoples.
