In June 2014, after attending a forest management course at Antioch University New England, a local resident donated 74 acres of forest to the school for future students to enjoy and use for research projects. As part of the donation, the Monadnock Conservancy holds a conservation easement on the property, protecting it from development and assuring that it will remain a place of natural beauty for years to come.
