Want to go kayaking but don't have your own? I have one, but I just don't want to haul it out today. Borrow one of ours! We provide all gear and safety equipment; you provide the paddling power. Our boats are stable and comfortable - perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. Enjoy the lake for a full 1, 2, or 3 hours in your single or tandem (2-person) kayak.
Pre-registration is required; walk-ups are taken only if space is available. This is not a drop-off program; adult supervision is required for anyone under age 18. Dress for the weather and to potentially get a little wet. Bring a water bottle, snacks, towel and change of clothes. Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign the waiver and wear safety gear.
Meet at the Lake Point Hall parking lot at Colonel Francis Beatty Park (4330 Weddington Rd, Matthews, NC 28105).
This program is for ages 10 and up.
