The Mendoza family opened up the very first El Salto Mexican Restaurant in Valparaiso Indiana. El Salto was created to serve customers fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine in a cultured, festive and inviting atmosphere. Since then, brothers; Robert and Rosendo Mendoza have opened five more El Salto locations including Cedar Lake Chesterton, Munster, Merrillville, and Schererville, Indiana.
