More About Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive 2026
Each year on the second Saturday in May, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive spreads out across America to help provide assistance to Americans who are struggling with hunger. The all-volunteer Food Drive effort is the nation's largest single-day drive. In 2026, Stamp Out Hunger will take place on Saturday, May 9th.
🌟Carriers collect non-perishable food donations left by mailboxes and in post offices and deliver them to LOCAL COMMUNITY FOOD BANKS and PANTRIES!
☔🌞Event organizers recommend: “If it is raining we encourage people to put their donations in a plastic bag and tie it shut if possible but please don’t let the weather keep you from donating."
📅Remind your family, friends, and neighbors to leave a bag of nonperishable food by their mailbox on Saturday, May 9, and their letter carrier will handle the rest! All donated food stays within the local community.
