  • - A 1,210-pound bomb packed in a van exploded in the underground parking garage of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing six people and injuring more than 1,000 (mostly from smoke inhalation). The powerful blast left a crater 200 feet wide and several stories deep. The cost for damage to the building and disruption of business for the 360 companies with offices in the Center exceeded $591 million. Fifteen people - the fundamentalist Muslim cleric Sheik Omar Abdul Rahman and 14 of his followers were indicted for the bombing. Rahman was given a life sentence, and the others received prison terms of up to 240 years each.

    - Everyone’s favorite first grader!

Dear first-grade journal, Hooray, hooray! There’s a musical that’s all about me, Junie B. Jones! This is the bestest musical ever, I tell you! It’s got loads of funny songs, and it’s based on a bunch of books this lady, Barbara Park, wrote about me and the things I do in first grade. I’m glad I can write everything down in my Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal! And you know what? I think I might like first grade after all!

    - Tickets start at $20*
    Member Price: $14*

Don’t miss the best party in town!

Irish music and dance shows often conjure up images of flat caps, waistcoats and comely maidens at the crossroads. Intimate, playful and fun for the whole family, The Irish House Party is a welcome antidote to cheesy portrayals of Irish music and culture. Don’t miss the party everyone will be talking about all year long!

The show is hosted by All-Ireland champion musicians, dancers and entertaining presenters who create this unique Irish experience in its proper homely setting, resulting in an exciting new theatre-going experience. This fresh approach has made the show hugely popular with both Irish and international audiences with sell-out shows in Dublin.

The Irish House Party seeks to create an atmosphere where guests can be entertained and educated about the music. There is no distance between performers and guests: Just like a proper Irish house party.

In 2013, they were listed among Billboard's Hot 100 best musical acts of all time. That same year, they were inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association's Hall of Fame.

Earth, Wind & Fire’s music is ‘timeless’, and fans around the world constantly crave the opportunity to hear their songs performed live. Shining Star now fills that void!

This amazing recreation of Earth, Wind & Fire’s music and show is based on the 1970’s thru 1980’s the peak time of Earth, Wind & Fire’s magical career, and the highly acclaimed live recordings of their concerts later released on DVD’s. This show’s playlist has been hailed as the definitive collection of Earth, Wind & Fire’s top charting hits, and includes best-loved songs such as After The Love Is Gone, Sing A Song, September, the remake of the Beatles classic song Got To Get You Into My Life from the movie Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band and their namesake “Shining Star”, along with disco tracks, Boogie Wonderland, and Let’s Groove Tonight. Earth, Wind & Fire has performed at countless award shows where they have also received 6 Grammy Awards and 4 American Music Awards. In 1998, they were ranked at number 60 on VH1’s list of the 100 Greatest Artists of Rock N’ Roll. Earth, Wind & Fire is known for the dynamic sound of their horn section and the interplay between the contrasting vocals of Philip Bailey’s falsetto and Maurice White’s tenor.

We offer several programs for children from 15 months old through 6th grade. Partial weeks are available. We offer part time (8:30 - 11:30 a.m.), full time (8:30 - 3:15 p.m.), and before and after school care (7 a.m. - 6 p.m.). Our Kindergarten program is full day.

Extracurricular activities such as art, modeling clay, Spanish, engineering, and chess are offered for our students. We also offer summer camp.

Montessori is an approach to education with the fundamental belief that a child learns best within a social environment that supports and respects each individual's unique development.

We accept children throughout the school year, so you can register at any time. Give us a call 847-223-9606 or contact us at admin@osmkids.com to schedule a tour where you can see our facilities and the children working and learning in their Montessori environment.

Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning autobiographical novel was translated to film in 1962 by Horton Foote and the producer/director team of Robert Mulligan and Alan J. Pakula. Set a small Alabama town in the 1930s, the story focuses on scrupulously honest, highly respected lawyer Atticus Finch, magnificently embodied by Gregory Peck. Finch puts his career on the line when he agrees to represent Tom Robinson (Brock Peters), a black man accused of rape. The trial and the events surrounding it are seen through the eyes of Finch’s six-year-old daughter Scout (Mary Badham).

    - The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. Our Task Force is a privately funded organization whose purpose is to encourage participation on the National Day of Prayer. It exists to communicate with every individual the need for personal repentance and prayer, to create appropriate materials, and to mobilize the Christian community to intercede for America’s leaders and its families. The Task Force represents a Judeo-Christian expression of the national observance, based on our understanding that this country was birthed in prayer and in reverence for the God of the Bible.
