    -
North River Ruritan Club will be hosting a community picnic on Augusta 19, 2017 and I am reaching out to the local businesses for donations. All of the proceeds will be going to The Children’s Home Society of West Virginia (Romney location). This picnic will have food, raffles, door prizes, games, and much more.
We would like for this event to be a huge success, so that this will become an annual event for North River Ruritan Club and the Children’s Home Society. Therefore, we are having Q102 and “The Chris and Rosie Show” at the picnic. They will be promoting the event over the radio the week before, as well as the day of the event. Any businesses that donate toward the promotion will be considered sponsors and will be mentioned in the radio advertising. North River Ruritan Club has decided to help promote those businesses that donate by offering banners which will be displayed at our picnic and at future events, depending on the level of donation.
    Donation Club:
Gold: $500 (Sponsors will receive a banner that will be displayed the day of the event. North River Ruritan Club
will also display your banner at any functions that we have for a full year following the August event,
    showing your support).
Silver: $250 (Sponsors will receive a banner that will be displayed the day of the event).
Bronze: $100 (Sponsors will share a banner with other businesses that will be displayed at the event.)
You can send any donations to: North River Ruritan Club

Attached below, you will find the Q102 event letter, a letter of good standing for North River Ruritan Club, as well as an original
501 C4 letter issued to Ruritan National in 1964.

  • | 7:00pm - | Arts and Entertainment, Maryland Theatre
    - “Candid Camera’s 8 Decades of Smiles! With Peter Funt,” has pleased audiences nationwide. Peter’s hilarious stage comedy is blended with clips, quips and behind-the-scenes tales from the show’s funniest moments.

Candid Camera holds a unique place in entertainment history as the only show to have produced new episodes in each of the last eight decades – from Allen Funt’s debut in 1948 through Peter’s recent run on TV Land. Peter’s latest show was a “Top Pick” in People Magazine and praised by The New York Times. The stage show incorporates the best Candid Camera clips in a fast-paced, laugh-filled romp through the decades. Peter’s topical humor is blended with audience participation and special surprises to make the show a great night of fun. Peter joined his dad as co-host in the 1980s and took over as host in the 90s. Over his own four decades, Peter has hosted more than 200 network episodes. He also appears on numerous talk shows, authored the book “Cautiously Optimistic,” and writes a nationally syndicated newspaper column.

Since 1986 the Town Planner Calendar has been keeping families across America up-to-date about events and other fun things to do right in their hometown.

Delivered free of charge every December to millions of homes across America, our full-sized, full-color calendar is a time-tested and beloved tool for helping families stay organized. The large date blocks are not only loaded with lots of nearby events and fun things to do, there's plenty of room for you to record your own family's important events like birthdays, anniversaries, parties -- anything you have planned -- so everybody in the house can see them whenever they go to the fridge, out the front door, or wherever you choose to display it.

But there's more! Every calendar is full of coupons from popular local merchants, so you can save money while supporting small businesses right in your hometown.

And don't miss our beautiful full-color photography! Every month you'll recognize a new photo from someplace close to home, submitted to us by a local photographer. If you'd like to have your own hometown photos included in our calendar, please contact your local publisher for more information.

We truly believe it's better to "keep it local". From coast to coast and border to border, our network of franchisees work with organizations and merchants right in their community to make sure you get the information and savings you care about. We prefer to feature family-friendly events that are a short walk or drive away, and coupons from local businesses so you can support your hometown economy.

If there's something happening close to home that folks in your neighborhood need to know about, why not submit it to us today? Please note that publication of your event is subject to approval by your local Town Planner publisher.

If there's no Town Planner calendar in your area, you could be looking at a great business opportunity! Town Planner franchisees set their own hours and can work out of their homes while providing a valuable service to both homeowners and local businesses in the area.
