SPHERE Performing Arts returns to the stage with its latest musical performance, “West Side Story,” on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
“West Side Story” is a renowned musical that reimagines William Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy, “Romeo and Juliet,” within the backdrop of 1950s New York City. This captivating and poignant production, first brought to the stage in 1957, was a collaboration between Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, and Arthur Laurents. The incredible SPHERE Performing Arts cast brings the story alive with passionate and heartwarming performances.
“West Side Story” explores themes of love, prejudice, and the pursuit of the American Dream, still relevant in 2023. It is a timeless classic celebrated for its powerful storytelling and enduring cultural significance.
