Derby Day Celebration 2026

Big news! 2026 will be the last year of the Derby Day fundraiser as Pequot Library makes way for fresh, mission-focused special events. Don’t miss your chance to celebrate at this signature event and experience the excitement of the Kentucky Derby on the Great Lawn with festive hats, attire, and decorated tailgates. Use your “Derby dollars” to enter to win raffle items, take home a bottle of bourbon from the famed “bourbon wall,” or choose your winning horse in the 50/50 raffle. Prizes will be awarded for Best Hat, Best Dressed, and Best Tailgates as well. Watch the “Run for the Roses” on the big screen in the historic auditorium, and enjoy Kentucky fare in the main tent.
