More About Daniel Glass Trio
A High-Energy, Genre-Defying Trio Where Groove Drives the Conversation
Reimagined. Unscripted. Alive.
Led by award-winning drummer, author, and bandleader Daniel Glass, this electrifying trio features guitarist Sean Harkness and bassist Michael O’Brien—three master musicians whose collective credits span an extraordinary range of artists, including Bette Midler, Gene Simmons, Brian Setzer, Trey Anastasio, Harry Connick Jr., Liza Minnelli, José Feliciano, and Janice Siegel of The Manhattan Transfer, among many others.
But the Daniel Glass Trio isn’t defined by résumé—it’s defined by what happens onstage.
Audiences LOVE this band. At last year’s Fairfield Theatre Company appearance, the trio got a standing ovation on its opening number: a seamless, high-voltage medley that somehow entwined Cream’s “I Feel Free,” Boston’s “More Than a Feeling,” and the Grateful Dead’s “Eyes of the World.” From the very first notes, it was clear—this was not going to be a typical night of music.
Built on deep listening, groove, and real-time interaction, the trio turns every performance into a live musical conversation. They draw from original material alongside reimagined classics, moving fluidly across styles without ever being confined by them—creating something that feels both familiar and completely unexpected.
Whether exploring an original piece or reshaping a well-known song in the moment, the Daniel Glass Trio thrives on risk, connection, and the thrill of the unknown. No two performances are ever the same—because the conversation is always evolving.
“This ensemble delivered a performance that was nothing short of mesmerizing. The evening was a thrilling journey through jazz, funk, and re-imagined classics, with each musician bringing his own brand of artistry to the forefront.” — Times Square Chronicles
“The Daniel Glass Trio demonstrates that jazz and rock are inherently more alike than they are different. The trio draws on music from both sides of the aisle, and approaches all of it on a level playing field, without any kind of inherent bias.” — Will Friedwald (Music Critic, The Wall Street Journal)

More About Fairfield Theatre Company
The Fairfield Theatre Company is a nonprofit center for the arts and culture located in the heart of downtown Fairfield, Connecticut. We bring together a community of musicians, actors, artists, writers, fans, and supporters who are dedicated to the simple premise that the broadest spectrum of live entertainment and cultural exchange is essential to the vitality of our society.
We believe that our quality of life is richly influenced by opportunities to get out and come together in public places to enjoy art, music, theatre, film, arts education and all manner of creative and intellectual discourse, and to participate in these activities to the fullest. To that end, we work diligently to establish and sustain venues for the presentation of concerts, plays, films, visual arts, and arts education. We seek to appeal to the most diverse audience possible, as often as we possibly can. We endeavor to strengthen our community and nurture, enrich, and enlighten the lives of those we touch. Our hope is to make our world a better place one great performance at a time.
