More About The Annual AmFab Open Studios Fall 2026
The American Fabrics Arts Building (AmFab) is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated annual Open Studios event, taking place on November 7th and 8th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Located in a historic former lace factory at 1069 Connecticut Avenue, Building 4, Bridgeport, CT 06607, the event invites the public to step inside the creative workspaces of over 24 artists all under one roof.
AmFab Open Studios is a rare, once-a-year opportunity for art collectors, enthusiasts, and the local community to meet the makers, tour their studios, and purchase one-of-a-kind artwork directly from the creators. The expansive industrial building will showcase a diverse and dynamic range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, printmaking, photography, bookmaking, and mixed media.
This year's Open Studios features an exceptional lineup of established and emerging artists. Visitors can explore the modernist ceramic sculptures, vessels, and installations of Jocelyn Braxton Armstrong, alongside the large-scale abstract paintings and woven works of Linda Colletta. The event will also highlight theexpressive abstract paintings of Kelly Rossetti and original studio artwork by Katie Southworth.
In a unique convergence of art and domestic science, visitors will also be able to experience innovative bio-art, including hand-stitched bioplastic quilts embedded with organic artifacts, crafted by multidisciplinary artist Janine Brown. Adding to the diverse disciplines on display, interdisciplinary artist Roxy Savage will share her analog and digital mixed-media pieces that explore themes of female identity and domestic space.
"This diverse group of artists creates a unique blend of art that promotes collaboration and inspiration," notes the AmFab community. The event is family and pet friendly with plenty of free parking!
