    - Thank you for your interest in becoming a foster parent with Adams County. The first step toward becoming a foster parent is to attend an information meeting where you will learn: what foster care is, what it means to be a foster parent, the origins of foster care, how and why children come into the foster care system, a general overview of child protection in Colorado, and how to move forward in the process of becoming a foster parent.

At the meeting you will receive a pre-application packet with our program agreement, questionnaire, and basics on how to apply. Please call 303-412-KIDS (5437) or email fostercare@adcogov.org for more information.

Please be aware that if we do not have enough people registered for the information session 48 hours in advance then the session may be cancelled. You will be notified via email if this event is cancelled.

Light Snacks will be provided at the meeting.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide childcare during the information meeting.

You can prevent and detect skin cancer with (1) prevention: seek shade, cover up and wear sunscreen; (2) detection: look for new or changing spots on your skin; and (3) awareness: see a dermatologist if you spot anything changing, itching, or bleeding.

    - The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. Our Task Force is a privately funded organization whose purpose is to encourage participation on the National Day of Prayer. It exists to communicate with every individual the need for personal repentance and prayer, to create appropriate materials, and to mobilize the Christian community to intercede for America’s leaders and its families. The Task Force represents a Judeo-Christian expression of the national observance, based on our understanding that this country was birthed in prayer and in reverence for the God of the Bible.
