    - On this date in 1947, President Truman signed legislation unifying the two branches of the armed forces into the Department of Defense. The branches merged were the Army and the Navy. The Air Force was separated from the Army at the same time and made an independent force.

    The Delray Marketplace located at 14851 Lyons Rd. in Delray Beach, Fl is hosting its annual Hot Florida Nights Car Cruise the 3rd Wednesday of the month for June, July, August and September in 2017 from 6pm-8pm. This is a great opportunity to bring classic car enthusiasts together into one place! Come and enjoy all the sights as you stroll through the variety of cars that have been developed throughout the ages.

    If you are in a car club, or just have a car to show off, we are looking for you as well! Participation is free of charge and you are encouraged to come and show off your cars! Registration is not required, just come on down and pick your space! The cars will be on display in the back lot of the Delray Marketplace at the corner of Lyons Rd and West Atlantic. Spots are claimed on a first come first serve basis.
