    - Gallathea
Before a trouser-wearing Viola swayed Illyrian hearts, before Rosalind dressed as Ganymede and wooed Orlando, before Puck used Cupid’s flower to wreak merry havoc, there was Gallathea. This 1588 gender-bending, love-affirming play by John Lyly is an Elizabethan rarity filled with gods (big and little), sea monsters, overprotective dads, enchanted nymphs, thwarted virgin sacrifices—and two cross-dressed girls who fall head over heels for one another and declare that love is love is love.
Admission is Bring Your Own Price, where any size donation buys your ticket.

  • - YORK, PA- The Belmont Theatre will present the Plaza Suite- A Play in The Bon-Ton Studio. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday shows are at 3:00 p.m.

Hilarity abounds in this portrait of three couples successively occupying a suite at the Plaza. A suburban couple take the suite while their house is being painted and it turns out to be the one in which they honeymooned 23 (or was it 24?) years before and was yesterday the anniversary, or is it today? This wry tale of marriage in tatters is followed by the exploits of a Hollywood producer who, after three marriages, is looking for fresh fields. He calls a childhood sweetheart, now a suburban housewife, for a little sexual diversion. Over the years she has idolized him from afar and is now more than the match he bargained for. The last couple is a mother and father fighting about the best way to get their daughter out of the bathroom and down to the ballroom where guests await her or as Mother yells, “I want you to come out of that bathroom and get married!”

  • | 8:30am - 10:00am | Business, Chamber, Networking
    - Join us for our educational seminar series 'AM Strategies...for Business Success' at The Bridges at Bent Creek. YWCA Carlisle Rape Crisis Services representatives Dana Hippensteel, and Miller Hoffman will present “Sexual Harassment: The Easiest Thing I Don’t Do At Work.”

In today’s media climate, it’s easy to become fearful about what seems suddenly off limits and inappropriate at work. It’s not, though, that the rules have changed, but only our attentiveness to them. What constitutes sexual harassment? How can companies encourage and enforce harassment-free workplace settings? What role do hierarchy and power play in these conversations? And is it possible to enjoy humor and time with co-workers without having to always worry about potential harassment claims?

Join us as representatives from YWCA Carlisle Rape Crisis Services simplify the complexities of a harassment-free workplace setting.

Event include networking time. Refreshments sponsored by Zimmerman's Automotive and The Bridges at Bent Creek. FREE for Mechanicsburg Chamber members; $10 for non-members.
