Welcome to Pirate Adventures of Myrtle Beach! A place where children come to experience the magic of sailing away in search of sunken treasure. Come aboard our pirate ship and get caught up in this real life adventure. Be amazed as our crew taps into the wonder of a child’s imagination. Your child will be painted with a curly mustache or with an anchor tattoo, dressed with a lucky tea sure hunting vest and marched off to the ship.

Once aboard, the young pirates will learn the rules at sea aboard the Sea Gypsy and use a treasure map to find the sunken treasure. As the crew searches for clues, they discover that Pirate Pete, the smiliest, most rotten, pirate on the Seven Seas, is lurking nearby, and he has something our brave crew needs. Off we go into battle with our famous water cannons! Will the crew defeat Pirate Pete and find the sunken treasure!?!
Aboard the Sea Gypsy, we always find the treasure, we always defeat that Pirate Pete, and the children always walk away with incredible stories!

    - Sweetest Day originated in Cleveland, Ohio in 1922. Herbert Birch Kingston, a philanthropist and candy company employee wanted to bring happiness into the lives of the sick, orphans, shut-ins and others who were forgotten by distributing candy to them. Thus, Sweetest Day was born. Today is the day to do something nice for someone that will make him or her say, "Oh, that's so sweet!" Annually, the third Saturday in October.

    - Summit Place of North Myrtle Beach will celebrate their newly remodeled facility, with an open house on Monday, Oct. 23rd from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. The event will kick-off with a ribbon cutting ceremony performed by the Little River Chamber of Commerce at 5:30 PM.

All are invited to enjoy ribs, shrimp, wraps and other appetizers, as well as beer, wine, and soft drinks. Come on out and join in on the fun, take a tour of our newly renovated community and enjoy talking with fellow Chamber members and neighbors from in and around the area.

Along with the aesthetics of having new paint, pictures, and modern furniture the remodeling has proved to have a positive impact on how we do business. For example, new convertible space tables allow our residents to enjoy a higher variety of activities. In our memory care community we have designed stations that remind our residents of times past. Each memory care resident also has a memory box beside the entrance to their room that includes pictures and keepsakes from their past and helps them to navigate and locate their room. The kitchen has been remodeled and brought up-to-date allowing for smoother service of meals. Our newly renovated courtyard gives our residents the opportunity to get fresh air and enjoy the outdoors. We now have an attractive family room so that families can visit which each other in a private setting, away from other distractions.

Fun things to do in Myrtle Beach

Since 1986 the Town Planner Calendar has been keeping families across America up-to-date about events and other fun things to do right in their hometown.

Delivered free of charge every December to millions of homes across America, our full-sized, full-color calendar is a time-tested and beloved tool for helping families stay organized. The large date blocks are not only loaded with lots of nearby events and fun things to do, there's plenty of room for you to record your own family's important events like birthdays, anniversaries, parties -- anything you have planned -- so everybody in the house can see them whenever they go to the fridge, out the front door, or wherever you choose to display it.

But there's more! Every calendar is full of coupons from popular local merchants, so you can save money while supporting small businesses right in your hometown.

And don't miss our beautiful full-color photography! Every month you'll recognize a new photo from someplace close to home, submitted to us by a local photographer. If you'd like to have your own hometown photos included in our calendar, please contact your local publisher for more information.

We truly believe it's better to "keep it local". From coast to coast and border to border, our network of franchisees work with organizations and merchants right in their community to make sure you get the information and savings you care about. We prefer to feature family-friendly events that are a short walk or drive away, and coupons from local businesses so you can support your hometown economy.

If there's something happening close to home that folks in your neighborhood need to know about, why not submit it to us today? Please note that publication of your event is subject to approval by your local Town Planner publisher.

If there's no Town Planner calendar in your area, you could be looking at a great business opportunity! Town Planner franchisees set their own hours and can work out of their homes while providing a valuable service to both homeowners and local businesses in the area.
