More About CONCERTS: AN EVENING WITH HAKEN
Pepsi Rock Series Handcrafted by American Metal
ABOUT THE ARTIST
According to Sonic Perspectives, “if you’re talking about modern progressive rock and don’t bring up Haken, you’re doing it wrong.” Formed in 2008, Haken is a London-based virtuoso progressive rock/metal band that has dazzled audiences with their impeccable fluency and soaring melodies. Today, Haken consist of multi-instrumentalist Richard Henshall, vocalist Ross Jennings, Raymond Hearne (drums), Charlie Griffiths (guitar), Conner Green (bass), and Peter Jones (keyboard). What began as a straightforward prog rock band has evolved into a shapeshifting, kaleidoscopic fusion of prog metal, jazz syncopation, hooky electronic pop, and anthemic rock and roll. Haken released their self-produced, seventh studio album, Fauna, earlier this year, praised for its complex and sophisticated rhythms and lyrics. Of the record, Griffiths stated, “we were drawing on influences from players like Steve Lukather, Mike Rutherford, Daryl Stuermer and Andy Summers.” Don’t miss their only CT performance!
