Vintage Decoys and Wildlife Art Show & Sale

The Ohio Decoy Collectors and Carvers Association, and the Great Lakes Decoy Association are holding their two shows together in Independence Ohio at the Holiday Inn Cleveland South. It's the largest event of its kind in the Midwest! Carvers, and artists from throughout the USA and Canada will compete in 24 carving contests for over $11,000 in cash prizes. Duck decoys, shorebirds, fish decoys, owls, hawks, songbirds, jigging sticks, and miniatures will be judged throughout the weekend. Collectors will find vintage and contemporary decoys, fish decoys and tackle, hunting and fishing memorabilia, and wildlife art for sale in the ballroom and room-to-room sales. Carving supplies, patterns, specialty woods, reference books and folk art will also be for sale. Artist Adam Grimm, native Ohioan and two-time winner of the Federal Duck Stamp will be selling his original artwork and prints. Demonstrations, auctions and raffles will be held throughout the weekend. Sunday morning is the biggest hunting-style decoy contest in the country! Entries will be judged in the hotel pool and the top prize is $500. Family-friendly, kids 17 and under are free! Weekend admission is $5 and includes a collector button.
