More About "Our Fire Is Stronger Than Your Bombs"

Our exhibition commemorates two years since Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine and draws attention to the war raging in the heart of Europe. It is a retrospective of the war through artworks by nine Ukrainian illustrators, most of whom live and work in Ukraine — sometimes with no power, water, cell signal, or Internet connection. Many of them have long been collaborating with global media, in particular, the New Yorker, the Atlantic, Zeit, Adweek, and other outlets. The 25 posters on display have been created by 9 emerging and well-established illustrators since the beginning of the full-scale invasion: Mari Kinovych, Bohdana Davydyuk, Oksana Drachkovska, Anna Ivanenko, Oleg Gryshchenko, Anna Sarvira, Jenya Polosina, NEIVANMADE, Iryna Lysenko. Co-curators: Veronika Yadukha and Hanna Leliv.

More About J. Sherwood McGinnis, Jr. War, Peace, and Justice Symposium

Our goal: to promote civil-military dialogue about war and its consequences in pursuit of a better peace.
To address war and work to mitigate it, we must first understand its nature and consequences. Advancing that understanding is the purpose of this symposium.
