John & Frank Craighead: Wildlife Warriors

Join us as Historian Mark Madison takes a look at the Craighead twins, John and Frank Jr., during a pivotal period of new developments in wildlife sciences and the environmental movement. Mark will note how the Craighead brothers were pioneers in protecting wild lands and wild creatures, including the Grizzly bear in Yellowstone National Park. Mark Madison is the Historian for the US Fish and Wildlife Service. The USFWS museum and archives holds half a million artifacts telling the story of American conservation, and many of those items relate to the Craighead family.
