Original Six

Who doesn't love a good character? Jack Sparrow, April Ludgate, Deadpool, Mary Poppins, etc. We love to watch eccentric characters exist in their world. Well, if one eccentric character is fun, why not 2, or 3, or even 6!? Better yet, what if 2 actors took turns creating these characters as the scene progressed? That is the idea behind Original 6. This performance is part of York Fringe Festival, an annual celebration of nontraditional live arts, such as improv and stand-up comedy, drag, burlesque, circus arts and sideshow, spoken word, puppetry, magic, dance, opera, storytelling, variety, interdisciplinary performance art, etc., as well as new twists on traditional theatre, such as re-setting Shakespeare under the sea or in Spanish-language performances.
