More About Law & Order SIU: Special Improv Unit

Dun-DUN! Law & Order SIU is a fully improvised, full episode of America’s longest running procedural loaded with York flavor. The show begins with the discovery of the body then takes the audience through the suspects and false starts of the police investigation, examination of evidence, public arrest, and a full trial ending with a verdict decided by the jury. There are even commercial breaks for fictional products. This performance is part of York Fringe Festival, an annual celebration of nontraditional live arts, such as improv and stand-up comedy, drag, burlesque, circus arts and sideshow, spoken word, puppetry, magic, dance, opera, storytelling, variety, interdisciplinary performance art, etc., as well as new twists on traditional theatre, such as re-setting Shakespeare under the sea or in Spanish-language performances. The 2026 festival includes more than 30 performances over five days in eight venues across the City of York.
