Day of the Dead Sawdust Carpets | Tapetes para Día de los Muertos | Cleveland Museum of Art

Join artist Héctor Castellanos Lara at the Cleveland Museum of Art for a hands-on workshop creating sawdust carpets, or tapetes, for the Day of the Dead. In partnership with the Mexican Committee of Cleveland, participants will learn the art and history of making these intricate designs with natural materials. The event includes assembling a large carpet on display through the holiday, offering a cultural experience and connection to the upcoming Cleveland Día de los Muertos Parade.
